A little backtrack ..
Monday's Post-Christmas Party by Mel
Had a pretty fun time there (:
After dinner, I sat beside Christine and we talked for awhile. hehe, she's pretty funny at times, but oh well. the problem is that.. when I giggle at her, she always - without fail - shoot back at me, "Why are you laughing?" Like I'm some weirdo .. :\ whoops.
The games were pretty fun too.. except for the part when our cell/team did the dares. gosh, i hated both. one was the 'one teaspoon of wasabi' and the other was 'to draw moustache and beard on each member on the team' and I was like ..uh ...... totally Paul's game, but I'm just gonna do it because I don't wanna make a scene. And I just keep telling myself to just Go With The Flow and don't be a spoiler.
Tuesday: Mad.
Had to wake up really early (for me >.<) at about 10am as I had cca at 12pm .. It was pretty crazy too. Cos I slept about half an hour more, approx. 35-40 minutes to be exact. Well, there is a clock above for me to check whenever I wake up anyways =.=" And so, I was rushing and rushing and I decided to take a cab there because I was afraid I'd be late and I needed to get my books too .. gahh!! But then.. when I arrived at the place where they were SUPPOSED to sell the books, they were selling uniforms, etc. $4.20 wasted..
Anyways, I was early for my cca since I didn't get to buy my books.. My lao shi went crazy during he zou, means the four groups; Zheng I, Zheng II, Zheng III & Percussion group, coming together in the guzheng room to play together. Scary thing about my teacher is, he can be super friendly with the cold jokes and all, laughing like nobody's business and in the next second - literally - he scolds someone with all the blood rushing to his head and his face will be painted red. that's always the scary part of him. Therefore, I've never been able to be friendly with him, throughout this.. well, ever since p1 when I started to learn guzheng, till now. Even Guof could get along with him already. No way can I do it =.=" I'm too afraid :x
Later came home for dinner and a bath before leaving for jap class. I think the funniest thing I remembered that day was during one of the conversation practices. We read it out from the textbooks yeah. And well, my teacher picked two people to read it out loud, of course. And so, my friend who sat beside me got picked for the first role & first person to speak. The words were, "Irasshaimasen!" And as this is often said in shops/restaurants, it has to have the enthusiastic tone. My friend, apparently, didn't say it that enthusiastically, and so, my teacher was not pleased and stopped the other person from speaking and went, "Nono, cannot. you have to speak it with more .. more.. light and happy! Like, like, IrAssHAimAsen!" His voice cracked while saying that. hehe.
Came home to rest and slack.
Wednesday: Preparations for & the Year-End Dinner.
Regina and I went to set our hair, makeup and do our nails at City Plaza. It was my very very first time doing so and it really felt like I was preparing for prom =s Oh well, I shall just try for the fun of it! haha (: The nail polish took REALLY LONG TO DRY. The lady told me to put my hands in front of the mini-fan she placed at the table. My hands froze. literally. and thing was, it was really fully dry and we were kinda rushing for time so I went to set my hair first. Couldn't let my hands touch anything for the next hour. so annoying -.-
Later we went to my place to change before leaving my house to fetch my godsis - hannah - and my grandparents - my mom's parents. We weren't late, thank goodness.
I didn't exactly enjoy the dinner & the performances weren't that nice. I'd say, it's not really.. well, it was like.. forced - quoted from Ben. Honestly, there was that tension there. Therefore, I lost interest. Even hannah lost interest. I doubt regina was paying any attention though. or maybe a little bit. And so, we decided to tour the place a bit. We found some place with a lot of couches and we sat that for awhile. While exploring the place, we saw the poolside from the 4th floor - I think - window. IT WAS BEAUTIFUL!!!!
We went back again just to eat and not long later, hannah and I left to explore the poolside. Before we knew it, we were sitting down and enjoying the "scenery". Hannah suggested that there should be a fire in the middle of the pool, then it'd be like we were in Hawaii. heh. I don't know that much, so I just kept quiet and enjoyed the REAL relaxing moment.
I know that we couldn't just stay missing throughout the dinner, so I suggested that we went back. If you'd ask me, I'd say that it wasn't really a formal dinner. Besides, if it was.. well, I don't know. The only formality was the guests/VIP and the porsh-ness in the Raffles Town Club.. Nevertheless, I tried to keep a smile wherever I went :\
The dinner didn't fill me so I ate supper when I got home. cookies. didn't eat much though. Therefore I slept with an empty stomach T-T
Thursday: Not much
I woke up pretty late today.. hmm.. I'd say about 2.30pm? I slept for 10 hours I think .. eh? wait, nono, 9 hours. miscalculated :\ Pretty much slacked till about 5+ and time for early dinner and the band concert at dunman high. Zoey went to support her friend. I went because I had nothing better to do. Charcoal went because it was a good time for him to socialise I guess. Besides, we're all music people. heheh :P
I wouldn't say I enjoyed it much if you're asking. Many a times, the tambourine went OFF-BEAT. many parts were off at times too. Frequency not too good. Especially the cymbol by the drummer. It was kind of disturbing. Oh no, wrong word for that. The most disturbing part was that they had a special item, dancing to k-pop music. The first was Gee by Girls Generation. Their expression was sick - at least one of them - and the movements were out and .. it was just so disturbing -.- The rest was pretty okay. But I think out of the entire concert, there's not a single song that I liked. only parts :\
Sigh. oh well.. this is the consequence of being good at music: You'd be able to hear the faulty areas and get irritated and not enjoy it in the end ._. UGHHHH.
