Change In The Making
There’s a better version of me
That I can’t quite see
But things are gonna change
Right now I’m a total mess and
Right now I’m completely incomplete
But things are gonna change
Cause you’re not through with me yet
This is redemption’s story
With every step that I'm taking
Every day, you’re chipping away
What I don’t need
This is me under construction
This is my pride being broken
And every day I’m closer to who I’m meant to be
I'm a change in the making
Wish I could live more patiently
Wish I could give a little more of me
Without stopping to think twice
Wish I had faith like a little child
Wish I could walk a single mile
Without tripping on my own feet
But you’re not through with me yet
And this is redemption’s story
With every step that I'm taking
And every day, you’re chipping away
What I don’t need
This is me under construction
This is my pride being broken
Every day I’m closer to who I’m meant to be
From the dawn of history
You make new and you redeem
From a broken world to a broken heart
You finish what you start in everything
Like a river rolls into the sea
We’re not who we’re going to be
But things are going to change
I'm living redemption’s story
With every step that I'm taking
And every day, you’re chipping away
What I don’t need
And this is me under construction
This is my pride being broken
And every day I’m closer to who I’m meant to be
I'm a change in the making
I'm not who I'm gonna be
Moving closer to your glory
When facing a problem, you only have two roads, two paths, two choices to make; to counter it with God, or succumb to the "doom". There's absolutely no such thing as sitting on the fence because life goes on whether you choose the right path or not; life goes on no matter what. It's the lack of courage that pulls us back.
Never underestimate or take that for granted for God's word carry great power to those who believe (1 Cor 1:18).

And there's absolutely nothing wrong with making mistakes. We're human after all, we're all striving to be like Jesus. Sometimes we got to think about why things happen, why bad things happen, why good things happen. The good, is of course by the God's mercy and grace. What about the bad? Does it mean that God has forsaken us? No! Sometimes things happen for a reason. Very often - okay, all the time - it does happen for a reason. There may be uneven and jagged edges on this vase, but it is not finished. God is not finished with us. He's still molding us, shaping us. He's slowly shaping us into perfection, chipping away what we don't need, we're still under construction..
...
I was thinking about all these as I reflected about my past and what happened recently that I came up with these words. Well, not the song of course. By the way, that's by Addison Road from their album, "Stories". It's true that sometimes in our imperfection, that when we want to be like Jesus, knowing that it's highly impossible though we do aim for perfection, we take it hard on ourselves. But I think what's most important here isn't about aiming for perfection.. it's about trusting in God that all will be well; He will be the one molding us into perfection. What we merely have to do is to trust God and let Him do the work.

I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.
