(Btw, I'm in Taiwan and photos are up almost every day on my Facebook page! :D) As I've been awhile for some time now, here, in Taiwan (taipei&hualian), it has been a very humbling experience for me. This very important lesson I learnt, through my family, especially my grandparents. Yup, they came along with us.. Things started off pretty tough. You know, with grandparents being naggy, noisy and all. Worse , on our first day, we got lost trying to find the hotel to book in hahaha :\ everyone was pretty flust...

CF.

Image
CF. Christian Fellowship. And so I have a new nickname in CF. the "pon-ster". heh heh. Not that I'm proud of it, really. I just did not put my CCA at the top of my priority list... As a result, I didn't turn up for most of CF sessions. Well, I guess it's also due to my inactivity that my fb group for CF even disappeared from my column..... (which explains why I never/stopped receiving notifications about ANYTHING regarding CF. that included today's session. -.- and CCA fair!! ): I wanted to help sia. and get some cca points man. -.- pfft.) Ah well. Still got next year I guess.. I gotta go to CF more often now. Even more so now that I'm trying to get a scholarship... ._. so hard. sigh. Well, purposes aside, I'm glad I came today! I'm always happy at the end of every CF session because I feel refreshed, renewed, and encouraged in my faith by those around me - those who attended the session. I never regretted joining CF you know, in case som...

Anime Anime!~

Anime Anime!~ And so I've been taking a really long break from anime... I've updated my anime list though! Watched two anime over a period of like.. 3 months or something. Ao No Exorcist is one I'll recommend! It's a bit of a comedy, and somewhat like a bit of power and stuff... It's like God vs Satan. Yeah. kind. of. anime. hmm. But it's kinda funny actually! Oh yeah, a little note, it can be a bit gruesome like blood coming out of eyes and nose and .. ears too, I think? So if you can't take that, haha maybe it's not the right anime for you then! Currently, I'm starting on this new anime called Red Data Girl. So here's the summary: A modern fantasy based on Japanese Shinto legends. Suzuhara Izumiko is a 15-year-old girl, who has been raised and protected in a shrine deep in the Kumano mountains. She is quite shy and destroys all the electric devices she touches. When she begins to think about going out of the mountains and moving to the cit...

Band Prac

Band Prac and so, I was grouped with a few others to form a band and it's a pretty cool combination! We've got people playing keys, bass, guitar, vocals, ... melodica.. *raises eyebrows up and down* Well, that's just our current roles I guess! :D We'll be playing "The Only Exception" This friday, 2044, @ 5pm, but.. I'm not advertising or anything cos it's just for my batch people (yes, dmat-ers) heh heh. Had a great time of prac this early early MORN in' ! Okay, it was THAT early, it's actually erm.. 10? At the jazz band club room.. :O :O Heh heh. So what's.. my role? Well, other than the melodica, I'll be backing up as well - harmonizing . So switch here and there, blah blah blah. I'm a bit worried this arrangement wouldn't be possible but then again..... I'll try and see if it's possible to do both of them - although I didn't quite put melodica in my major nor minor instrument... haha! ah well, see how. Ther...

New dp!

NEW DP YAY! :D Just changed my dp in my poem blog. hehe. kthxbai.

Free Time

Free Time Since I've got a lil free time on my hands now, I shall blog! So, the first week of the semester has just passed and like any other first weeks (except previous sem's first week cos previous sem was hell with all those holidays and stuff.), it was pretty intimidating where the lecturers will brief us on what we'll be learning and what assignments we'll be given, what we have to prepare, etc. I'm really looking forward to what I'll be learning this sem! I've been driven to writing some lyrics after being exposed to a lot of pop/punk pop/rock. It's been really awesome hearing those genres now, I'm seriously growing to love them a lot. You see, I used to ALWAYS listen to religious/classical songs. That's it. The amount of secular songs I listen to are very limited. However, I do have a favorite country singer who is none other than Taylor Swift! :D How was I drawn towards her? Well, I've always fancied - no, in fact, I loved - so...

Imagine...

As promised, a post. (p.s. you can ignore the previous post summary.) Imagine... If the world was finally all serious about life and how awkward the atmosphere might be. Just at the moment where BAM everyone realizes how important and fragile their lives are and they just start walking around like zombies, in deep reflection about their lives, in the quiet, with only shuffling sounds. I think that's how my life is right now. I mean, just for me I guess - the world's still a noisy place anyway. I walk around and it's dead people. Like a masquerade everywhere, people are not themselves, they are someone else. Maybe they're all just one person, or a few, who knows? I just know they're not them. I walk around and I see myself and them. I hear the words from scripture in John 3:16-21. I can't erase the thought of people rejecting the truth. They know they can't run away from it, some are skeptical to the point where they believe the truth is.. NOT ...

John 3:16-21

John 3:16-21 16 For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. 17 For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. 18 Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because they have not believed in the name of God’s one and only Son. 19 This is the verdict: Light has come into the world, but people loved darkness instead of light because their deeds were evil. 20 Everyone who does evil hates the light, and will not come into the light for fear that their deeds will be exposed. 21 But whoever lives by the truth comes into the light, so that it may be seen plainly that what they have done has been done in the sight of God. I'd initially typed a really long message here, but I realised it was really too much to talk about and it's late at night so I can't really seem to piece them all...

Red

Red. Retard. And so I'm halfway through my hols and I'm doing a great job slacking! :D What did I do today? Erm.. got up at.. 2pm-ish, ate like the butterfly & red bean thingy.. I dunno, they sell these golden browns stuff in kopitiam dim sum there. My grandma bought it for us ytd but no one ate it I guess... So, that was my lunch with some leftover milk - heng ah, not expired - and my morning honey drink w some pills (calcium and dunno what) that my mom always prepare for me in the morning every day. So while "lunch-ing" I watched last night's 9pm, channel 8 tv drama episode which I missed due to a class chalet which I had to attend to (I must say, despite me not looking forward to it at all, it wasn't all that bad I guess). Andd... then..... I slacked. and slacked. and slacked. Fb-ed. And slacked. Read xiaxue's blog. and slacked. oh yeah, tried on some.. supposedly easy to put on makeup and stuff...... - yes, not so easy in the end so I gave u...

A Red Candle.

A Red Candle. Slowly, it burns A sweet fragrance it emits Unconsciously, it flows Into the deep recesses of my mind Weak, but determined, It dances around on the spot Ever so freely, Amazed at its beauty But time was short No mercy upon it It soon fades away All things shun from it They all gathered To remember who it was and what it did To learn from the death of a friend And grieve for its soul Has its reason for its sweat Ever been for worries? No, the life it led Never had such an ability For it danced so freely Full of spirit, full of joy Not once it stopped Never did it stop Has its reason for its flame Ever been to harm others? No, the light it gave, Only brought people together It brought smiles to their faces Led them to embraces & kisses Not once it stopped giving Never did it stop CHECKMATE Yumeitto.

Why so serious?

Why so serious? "People say I take Christianity too seriously, but.. I don't know, God took it pretty seriously when He sent His Only Son, Jesus Christ to die for our sins  that we may have eternal life." To Christians out there, I know at times it's hard, being lukewarm is something so so common, but never forget the extremely amazing act of love God showed mankind back then. I remember hearing a quote similar to what I've typed above and I hope it'll serve as a reminder for people out there, struggling to get out of the lukewarm zone. Then perhaps we can ask ourselves, God has done so much for us, but how much are we really investing in getting to know Him/our relationship with God if we - so say, or rather - are committed, and call ourselves to be Christians?

Loud

Loud I realise how much I detest loud and angry people. Oh, don't get me wrong, I absolutely do not refer to people scolding/reprimanding me or anything cos it would've been quite reasonable, especially when I'm young since I don't know a lot and tend to do a lot of stupid things... I refer to people - it may be anyone, not just those with anger-management problems - who have those eyes that tell you, "I. HAVE. HAD. E-NOUGH. OF. YOU." eyes. Yup, it may not just be a public nuisance, especially since those eyes would accompany with the thunderous, intimidating roar, but .. I don't know if some of you get what I'm trying to say, but when you were young, get scolded, sometimes when the reason for that wrongdoing is far beyond our understanding and our parents just don't tell us why, you're just left hanging there? yeah. that's feeling. You... don't really know. I tend to feel like crying when this happens.. even now. Yeah sure, whe...

Actually considering

Actually considering.. About going for that interview. yes, that woman called me this early afternoon to go for an interview tomorrow at Orchard Central, 4pm. Some model thing. I stopped to realise how scary things were at that moment. I was actually considering to go for that interview, but at the same time, I look at myself with so so many flaws. I have fats at my waist - so if I had to do a shoot exposing my waist, it'd be so ugly - I have fat thighs, short legs, barely oval-shaped face, not so sharp chin, big feet, not very toned legs, and above all, I'm short and don't have nice teeth -models, imo, should have nice and straight teeth with a good smile to go with, I for one, don't have. and I'm 18 this year. Why me? Why had I considered anyway? It's because of these many flaws I actually considered . It sounds like an irony, or contradiction. But really, ask any girl out there - how beautiful doesn't matter - they'll tell you 101 flaws about th...
